Is pet insurance worth it & does it really save money on vet visits?

Question by BabeDoll: Is pet insurance worth it & does it really save money on vet visits?
I am debating on getting pet insurance for my dog. She is one years old & has had to go to the Emergency Vet three times already for being sick in her stomach. It has been rather expensive, not including her regular check ups/shots and heart worm/flea & tick meds.

So I wanted to know do you think it would be worth it? About how much do you normally save? Who offers the best plans that I can look
