Q&A: How much $ would you probably spend on a small dog each year?

Question by Betsy: How much $ would you probably spend on a small dog each year?
By small, I mean about 6-15 pounds. And by dog, I mean dog, not puppy (i.e. with all the shots and other puppy things).

Including vet visits :).
Also, do you recommend pet insurance?

Answer by technicolourlassieWell here in UK i spend a fortune on my rough collies every year, something like £600.
with my shih tzu puppy i would say thats half but this is not
